Maybe - the results were not promising - something worth considering.
In any case - HIV is the holy grail so it was logical to chase that first.
Again, maybe the available funds were tight and had to be wisely prioritised and the hope was that the HIV results would be exceptional enough to push the SP up in order to make any future CR worth more. Unfortunately, that did not come to fruition.
Shortsighted not to have hit shareholders for cash when the SP was at 10 cents - then all trials could have been pushed through.
You are right - there is no contract existing.
