Actually they originally stated that preliminaries would be release H2, 2022 ! In mid 2022 they updated this to H1 2023 then in H1 2023 they updated it to Q3 2023. So you are right they did sort of cover "mid 2023" in between the 2nd and 3rd timelines but well before the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th iterations.
Anyhow what is done is done. Unfortunately for us "done" doesn't include actually getting any damned results! Just preliminary box ticks with no numbers. Its like waiting 2 years to get a govt document then finally getting a heavily redacted copy with all the critical names and numbers scribbled over making it all but useless to figure out what actually happened.
On the upside I expect a "Letter to shareholders" to appear in the next couple of weeks. Based on previous experience, whilst the preliminary results announcements can be quite dry, they tend to be more colorful in the letter to shareholders so we may get something more glossy and upbeat then.
