As far as your question about FFX's Country Manager, I think Semega ceased being FFX Country Manager in March 2023. I don't know (but would love to) who is on the ground in Mali representing us in his absence. He still remains the Chair of Morila SA though (see my post on General).



I'd thought maybe it was Inter-Mining Services aka IMS bidding (part of the MEIM joint venture) but Corica is a good guess too.

I thought it interesting that some of the IMS staff seem to have been working on (even still working on) Goulamina given the commentary made by FFX about contractor issues that seemed to allude to MEIM (unless I completely misunderstood).



Did LLL engage IMS? Or was some sort of discussion worked out as part of the Morila work drying up (and how murky could this get from a corporate standpoint?).

Interesting to note that Mota-Engil also seems to have quietly stopped talking about Morila after the recapitalisation efforts failed (I can't even find an announcement to their shareholders of this major contract drying up?), other than noting in the 2022 Annual Report that they had increased their share of MEIM (from 70% to I infer 100%, aka Inter-Mining Services exited the JV).
