1 will never equal 3, nor 3 equal 1. That's their problem to deal with, not yours.

A jealous God, really. Why would the Creator of the universe be subject to so many human weaknesses.

Quite simple and definite, really. Tens-of-thousands of religious sects of all denominations in every system of belief suggests humans don't do simple and definite very well.

Surely the only take-away from any religion is the parts that encourage love, tolerance, the oneness of humanity made obvious by our utter confusion as to the meaning of life, or does it even have one.

What I do know is that calling people, imbeciles and morons and telling them they will burn in hell and that they are blaspheming infidels has been tried by each religion for thousands of years and look how well that has worked. Every religion has eventually become a dictatorship, a tyranny.

Let's try something a bit novel to religions, like worrying about your own spiritual path and not that of others, loving without judgement, respecting the religious beliefs of others. Unconditional love is worth a try if we can get it out of the plastic, because it has never been opened by any religion.
