I don't think these companies- Bergen and the like- go on VWAP to determine price. As an example, CGP has Lind Partners (formerly SpringTree), who got the last load of shares @ 1.3c. The share price has been pretty strongly supported, tough, and went to 1.7c. Regardless, yesterday Lind got more shares at 1c. So,that's 70% profit Lind is getting.
william, with the big buys and big sells- sometimes eating or killing columns- Bergen/La Jolla/Lind, stack buy and sell columns with their own shares, to create visual images of demand, so they can keep doing their business. So, it might look, for example, like say, $20k of shares were just bought, but $17k of those may have been Bergen's, and they had to pull down the whole buy column to get the $3k worth at the top of the column. Then they just rebuild the column again, and wait. They can't just sell endlessly, or the show would be over in 5 minutes. One wonders, though, with all these scalper shares, how many parties are really in the trading room. I tend to think it is only a few retail punters each day, and Bergen, with GOA.
