I love Trove, it’s a great resource and I agree with the comments that it’s missing an A/V option. I have no doubt Linius, based on the GLAMx experience at UoN, would be a great addition to it. However despite its cultural significance and importance to researchers Trove is under threat of being shut down within months due to years and years of funding neglect. This is a common problem with archives of all sorts among cultural institutions, including at the ABC where they recently cut a lot of their archivists. While it could be argued that Linius presents an opportunity for these institutions, the problem is that they have a proven record of being unwilling to invest in this area. I don’t think they should be considered potential future customers of any sizeable worth.

(for full disclosure I’ve changed from held to not held, as i had a better option for the funds in the short term while I wait and watch a bit more on LNU)
