Hi everbody,
below are two short articles on the founder/ inventor of the Lithium Ion battery.
Our share prices and those of all mining companies who have discovered lithium anywhere
owe a great debt of gratitude to this man. Let alone all KDR shareholders.
John Goodenough, whose work led to the lithium-ion battery
BBC ONLINE SAT OCT 15 2016
Professor John Goodenough's work led to the invention of the rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which is part of almost every portable electronic device.
Now 94-years-old and professor of engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, Goodenough talks to the Today programme's John Humphrys about Samsung's problems with batteries catching fire, why he has never won a Nobel Prize and why he dislikes the mobile phone.
