Lobbying from Greens protesting against funding fossil fuel projects and southern gas pipelines may cause delay. But if this is what SFG management are waiting for they must surely have in principle agreement already and papers ready to be signed as soon as legislation passes. Also needs Governor General to sign off which might take a few more weeks. Hope they have plan B. But I’ve always thought NAÏF can’t help but get involved here, and gives them some good publicity and diversity from mining projects. Jeez I hope everything lines up, they are cutting it very fine!
ps Stash we don’t need another lecture about role of government loans/guarantor facilities for private companies, we know your view so save it. They are funding plenty of other equally speculative ventures, and if they can be a catalyst for progress they have met their mandate.
