My disappointment is that these new blokes only represent their shareholdings. None of the new directors have petroleum experience. If anything their presence would discourage any class-act CEO from joining the board. This is because a new CEO would want to bring other directors of his choosing onto the board with relevant complimentary skills.

My view for what it is worth is that the small shareholders have lost out to the big boys whose representation on the board will ensure that their interests are protected over that of the little bloke. Sure the price is going to be driven and that is of benefit to all shareholders, BUT the small bloke has no say at all.
