most use cars in cities and towns - then do the odd trip remote
if you have a car today - you can fuel up most places - but, sometimes if you go remote - you use fuel dumps
so if you have an EV - you charge up where there is mains power - but, when you go really remote - there can be diesel powered generators if there isn't mains power
