Lrs have applied for rights to 70,000 hectares of spodumene bearing pegmatites. Ie hard rock lithium bearing deposits. SPODUMENE. While lmax tech claims to be able to produce lithium carbonate from mica or (lepodolite) this has only been done on small scale testing. Lrs to my understanding hope or plan to use lmax tech to process lithium carbonate from spodumene for 1/3 of the cost of conventional methods. Eliminating roasting the ore. A high cost activity. Processing mica is a long way off and i reiterate lrs is currently in the process of aquiring a hard rock spodumene bearing lithium tenement and as to now has made no mention of the application or aquisition of a lithium bearing mica tenemant.
