Indian thermal coal use for power is expected to rise by 50% (1TWh->1.5TWh) over the next decade, with SEA use projected to increase by 82% by 2040. Even in the developed world, Japan is planning to return nuclear share of electricity production to around 20%, but is still forecast to retain around 25% production via thermal coal in 2030.

Australian thermal coal is the best choice for minimising those emissions.
Development and energy security will always outweigh GW concerns - it seems many green campaigners expect the developing world to remain poor whilst they carry on with their wasteful lifestyles.
