sorry wrong, not with hk shares.
I pay a third party bank to hold my shares under nominee.
Why would I want China direct shares when I can get the same shares through HK with a sigificant discount to share price, and hold those shares through a british custodian account (separate from the brokerage account). And we are not talking about cayman island Baba type shares, for these shares the chinese government already own majority.
