About time that truck drivers obeyed level crossing warning signs!
How to write off two AZJ locomotives (and probably the crew car as well - two drivers rest while another two do a shift in the leading loco), and also close the Alice Springs - Darwin section of the north-south standard gauge line for at least a few days:

Insurance may cover most damage but that's not the point. These "accidents" are avoidable if truck drivers (and other motorists!) took more care, even if they think 'they know when trains come because I'm a local'.
