WDuck Quite an emotion response but guess they're are many emotion people on this forum. Yes I have been involved with the Aust post relocation which took place this last weekend. so unfortunately you are inncorrect.
Actually Fujitsu offer all kinds of packages, from server management to plain old co-location to tier one customers and tier one customers and has many, unlike NXT who I don't believe have any to date. Aust post are small fry, 300 odd servers and many are pizza box or blades.
Yes true many of the DCs i've mentioned are in NSW however NSW has the highest requirement of DCs than any other state.
The Idea of these forums is to have advice from both sides of the fence. I am offering my opinion after 20 years of working with Sydneys DCs (yes only Syd) if you only want people to post what your ears want to hear then you can ignore my posts via the forum option.
If I see the tides changing I will post here again. But I stand by what I say based on the DCs I work with. I have worked in DCS with only a few thousand systems, on Battleships at garden island, 6th floor underground bombproof DCs and the vault underneath the reserve bank. I think I have more experience than most here on DCs. Unless NXT score a tier one customer then they will struggle to turn a decent profit. Watchout Sydney cause many more are on the way, I will be inducted in all of them and will know exactly who is getting the cream customers.
