Why bother with all this added complexity ? Imagine adding gyro's, which have the be stopped and started to dampen movement every 8 seconds (assuming 500 blocks per hour). DST does a pretty good job and the technology is designed to cater for this movement. I expect will only get better and more accurate over time as they gain experience on the circumstance which most often cause the misalignment. They should focus on improving the DST if necessary (building an even larger technological moat) and its application to other areas.
