The rubies that didn't sell (4 fifths of total) are small and not the desired grade nor colour.

When you mine gemstones around 4% are genuine Gem quality, Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds, all the same.

Less with diamonds, 1% is a great result.

When you cut a stone in the rough you lose on average 65% of the carat weight.

The buyers at auction didn't purchase these Rubies because the size, colour, grade was not Gem quality.

The 400,000 carats presented were indicative of the deposit. Nothing is going to change in the next 6 months (if it lasts that long) other than the fact that we'll have perhaps more than a Million carats that no-one wants. AND THEY ARE GOOD FOR NOTHING ELSE.

My advice, take it or leave it. Find an exit tomorrow and don't look back.
