Was a good chance but it all fell apart when the RiverFort convertible was not agreed upon (Troy would have needed to fulfill the listing conditions before, don't know in detail). 2.4m missing. Which translates into one unnecessary road build too many.
The mistake then made was to pay off debt from previous production instead of building the decline. Repeat business would have kept the trade creditors happy.
Now we are in the exact same spot we would have been in if all that had happened before the AIMS gold loan except for 1.2 bn shares more.
And not really new shareholders, AIMS has 30% or so, two major shareholders control just short of 50%.
Will be interesting to see who buys the mill. I think it is not feasible to use the plant for Omai, but a mill can be shipped and is a couple millions. 10 even? Maybe, but less than what GoG will take. If Omai Gold won't acquire the mill that will tell you something about their project.
So bye bye for gold mining in Guyana, Aurora is in Chinese hands and everything else has their fair share of problems.
Guess we will see a buyback of some shares by the company and then a (reverse-?)merger once the dust has settled to make use of the deferred tax assets/credits.
Sad to see as the story would have been completely different with an American parent company knowing how to promote a project. If you do capital raises at fair value or above you will grow, if you raise repeatedly below value you will get closer to 0.
BTW, if nobody buys the plant, TRGIs debt will get cleared and the company still be a subsidiary of Troy Australia. And then a restart - not really feasible - would require capital payments for updating/repairing the plant + consumables + decline + equipment. 20 - 30m? So even if the debt gets cleared Troy still has to find a way to get rid of TRGI. Liquidation is something the GoG should request now. Seems they are hesitant though trying to blame the large foreign overseas mining conglomerate for the end. Oh, continuation would require a new mineral agreement 2024-2034 with tax free imports or else no decline. Something that also will not happen due to internal political reasons. Reclamation: seems there are a couple millions set aside, who knows what will happen? Might not be enough after the camp is gone. The jungle clinic will close now for sure or is already, meaning Omai Gold will have to provide medical services to the Amerindians if they try to go ahead. We also will see a return of illegal mercury use near former Karouni.
