People are already paying about $500 for synvisc/durolane and up to $2000 for platelet rich plasma - all of which have really debatable clinical benefit.
Thing about the savings for those too young for arthroplasty that could come off disability or get back to work sooner and the savings there.
Gotta also remember that people also pay sometimes $200 just to see a surgeon and up to $1000 to get an MRI.
