I have had Osteo arthritis for around 11 yrs in my left hip and as an investor I have seen the results of the various reports and MRI’s.
I have seen various ortho surgeons and had decided on one at Flinders Hospital in Adelaide about a year ago, deciding to keep up the fifo work until the job ran out or I did.
The end result of that was a bit of both so I finished my job on April 3 and had to have another appointment with the Ortho advising him that I wanted to research the IPPS drug before setting a final date for surgury.
He said to me Oh the dog drug.
Anyway I pushed on and eventually got a contact to see another Ortho as advised by Paradigm.
I was really stoked about it as this Doctor has a very familiar name associated with the company.
Unfortunately after checking my xrays he told me that my hip joint was too far gone to benefit from the drug and of course I asked a few questions as I deflated then left.
For me now and after reading A Walker couldn’t walk from one room to another it has me thinking at what point is a joint too wasted to benefit?
If it helps the AFL players why wouldn’t it help me, especially when cartilage and soft tissue as well as BML is reversing?
Does have me thinking and I did receive in my message to PAR that they were struggling to compile stocks of IPPS to conduct their oncoming trials...that may have one thinking?
Anyway there is no way out for me so have set the surgury date for the 21st May
and hey confident it will help me heaps but nobody in their right mind would choose surgury unless you had to.
One thing I do know is the struggle for too long to make way from one place to another, my work had me walking climbing stairs, ladders etc some 10 to 15km daily. So glad it’s over but sore bones about being so close yet so far.
It would be pretty interesting to learn exactly what it can do and at what point it is of no use???
