I think we can safely assume that New City Investment managers will keep on selling. In this market that leaves NDO sp very exposed on the downside. What we dont know is why they are selling.
My guess its the same as most selling by big funds of late. Forced selling to raise cash. Why on earth would you sell A$ assets right now (unless desperate) if the money was to go offshore. Hiding to nothing.
With NDO specifically it could be the unattractive POO. But who really knows?
But, do we think NDO is going broke? I dont, due to Galoc. OK, the income is not what we hoped, but still very substantial. Do we think it has future fields to develop? A good chance with T1 and Y1. Do we think there is a reasonable chance of some big finds to make? I think so.
Are there some good announ to come soon? I would think that a JV announ is somewhere close.
A philosophical, drought effected farmer mate once said to me that every day is a day closer to rain. I'm thinking the same with this market. Every day is a day closer to the bottom.
