tls is probably relying on consumer apathy... just like banks... most people could save a load of $$ moving banks but they dont coz, rightly or wrongly, of the hassle factor. same with telecommunications. there a lot of old farts out there who have no idea about voip & the like and even if they did, they would probably focus on the hassle factor of changing. then you have all these fine print conditions so people are a little cautious moving phone companies or whatever even though on the surface company A has a more competitive plan that company B.
i've had optus & other salespeople rock up to my place & they blow me away with all these gee whiz deals. i just nod & send em on their way. i'm way too lazy, for my own good.
