Large shareholders will sometimes make predetermined schedules, e.g. that at certain dates they will need to sell. It is quite possible that someone said, "The share price will likely rise on the first drilling report on 9 Feb and then I will sell." So they did, regardless! It only takes one person. PAX is not a very liquid stock. When finished, small shareholders sit a bit shellshocked for a few days before the SP picks up again. They then kick themselves for having missed the opportunity. Is anything new?
