If you would like an extremely informative read on the morning star mine history from 1936 to about 1950, get a copy of "No two the same". This is an autobiographical, social and mining history covering the life and times of mining engineer A.A.C.(Bert) Mason. Bert spent most of his early engineering days at woods point and there is a lot of good technical information contained in the book.
It is a long read at 916 pages but well worth the expense and effort needed to obtain.
Copies are available from the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy for about $55.
