When Baha'u'llah revealed, it was in spoken Word and it was recorded in writing. The writing needed to be correct. When I am recording what someone is saying I might record incorrectly. If there are incorrections, then the person doing the speaking can correct the incorrections and ensure that what was recorded is true to what was spoken. This called ratification of a Revelation
