This is a universal teaching which places Jesus's teaching at the centre of spiritual history.
Assuming that you really believe that the Bible is the word of God and thus the teaching of Jesus recorded in the Bible, what other teaching is more central in spiritual history than this one?
Just one example will be enough.

The Bible is not the "only" Word of God in history.

There is exactly the same teaching in Hinduism (which contains the Word of God) which puts Krishna at the centre of spiritual history and in Zoroastrianism (which contains the Word of God) which puts Zoroaster at the centre of spiritual history. Muhammad did the same, as also did the Bab and Baha'u'llah.

In Noah's time, was there any other Person on the planet through whom one could be saved except through Noah and His Ark? Not one.

It seems clear therefore that this concept of "centre of spiritual history" refers to a specific period in history, an age, or an aeon.
