I don't think the intention is to portray God as a father in the normal sense of the word because (in my opinion) God of the Bible is not a literal father but a father figure in his relationship with us and Jesus.
I see Jesus saying that he and his father are one means that they are one in purpose so I have no idea why you conclude that I said or implied that Jesus was lying. Others who make a similar claim don't make them Jesus.
I have only heard these remarks from Muslims which suggests to me that your beliefs align with those of Islam.
