''No one disputes what you are saying when you look through a telescope or look at fossils''

The point was that we are looking at the facts of the world. Where anyone can see the planet Jupiter, sun, moon, stars as facts of existence....yet that cannot be done with any of the countless gods that humankind has believed in and worshipped, which are clearly not the facts of the world.

''The difference is the interpretation'

There is no interpretation, point a telescope at Jupiter and anyone with sight are able to see the planet Jupiter,

''Scientists dont all interpret the information the same''

That's why we have testing, where flawed interpretation of the facts of the world are falsified and tossed in the scrap. That is the success of science and philosophy. Faith on the other hand discourages both questioning and falsification of its beliefs.
