I think you need a bit of an overview of religion in general to begin with to understand the Bible. Christians are greatly disadvantaged in that they are led to believe that everything begins and ends with Christ and Christianity goes on in perpetuity to the exclusion of all other religions. Kind of like the mindset of the Pharisees when they encountered Jesus.

Muslims believe that Muhammad is the last Prophet so they will reject Christ if He were to return. That's what religion does, it forms tribes and few are able to see beyond the lore of their own tribe.

The Words of Christ will never pass away, but that does not mean they will not be renewed, just as Christ renewed the Teachings of Moses, Noah, Abraham and others in the Jewish line of Prophets. All religions have a used by date.

All the Prophets are one, they serve the same Will of God, it's people who establish the tribes, disunity and enmity.
