If you think that no evidence to negate a proposition is evidence for that proposition then you will find yourself believing in just about anything.
A belief, for example, that people lived for hundreds of years.
A problem with scripture is that 2000 plus years down the track, it is difficult to tell what was meant literally and what was not.
