    You guys know I don't like to be the harbinger of bad news but 15 tonnes being drained in 1 week is something of a record, that's 1322 400oz bars, 189 a day going out the door.

    GLD is only one of about 20 ETF's with varying amounts of gold and paper, and if the same thing's happening all over it could be the beginning of something akin to a run on the bank.

    Could it precipitate a gold crash? It's possible.
