    Indeed, the Waihi mine is an open pit mine (as opposed to NTL's planned Talisman underground mine) but it certainly shows how much of the yellow stuff is in the ground up there.

    Confidence in the industry, literally just down the road, is a very good thing for NTL.

    No wonder Newcrest are sniffing around all over the show up there too.

    I've been keeping an eye on NZPAM website to get advance notice of when the Rahu extension is decided.
