The government of Solomon Islands revoked Axiom Mining Ltd.'s foreign investment license in the country, and the company's expatriate workers were ordered to leave the island nation, The Australian reported Nov. 5.

A JORC was not required under Solomon Island mining processes.

Axiom Mining and Sumitomo's court case found the Mining Ministry had not awarded the ML correctly to AXIOM Mining.

A historical JORC for Kolosori existed, and in Axiom's case, the Solomon Islands Government handed out a ML and once the company had identified resources, they would not allow it to be exported.
