If anything were to be done in regards to number of shares issued/buyback/consolidation, I'm in the consolidation camp. Buybacks cost a LOT of money and require a financial adviser/underwriter. Buybacks are the normal domain of Large companies with so much excess cash flow and no idea of how to deploy it effectively.
From a few enquiries I've made, it seems consolidation is basically admin + costs to ASIC and ASX. So, definately the cheaper option if any such path were to be followed.
However, I do not at all expect to see anything on those lines for quite a while to come, if ever. One of the original intentions of the dilution was to block PALA.
