@71c4....I already agreed that the climate is getting both warmer and dryer. As Gondwanaland moved northwards this happened, and is continuing. Humans have proliferated to a degree, that they are now a plague on the face of the Earth. Don't you think the planet will not eliminate them if they cause too much havoc. Even viruses tend to seek out favourable conditions for themselves. Why won't the Earth.
The Holocene Period in which humans thrived is over. It was a period of very even climate, which suited out temperature intolerant species.
We are now (for probably a century or three) in the Anthropocene Period, which according to the Climate Geologists, will be an era of greater climatic variations. Which may not be very suitable to human life.
I don't know why you are getting so uptight about your eventual extinction. You have a ringside seat to watch it happen. Grab a coldie, kick back, and enjoy the show.
