    True, there are a lot of "nut" jobs with opinions of dire climatic consequences if we don't try (in vain) to replace fossil fuels overnight with
    (partly} "renewables".

    Sensible cost / benefit studies must be undertaken to ensure that supplemental power from natural energy sources are justifiable from an economic and realistic perspective.

    With any luck, unlike the so called and unreliable "scientific" hysterical predictions (as above), solutions will be progressed as fossil fuels are progressively supplemented with reliable alternate forms of power. This is a good thing.

    It will happen, but if anyone thinks renewables can completely replace fossil (coal, hydro, gas, oil and in particular, nuclear in the next 2 or 3 decades they are dreaming, imo.
