I am using Firefox and Adblocker Ultimate but this strip appeared in the last week or so and has been annoying the hell out of me because it is slow to load and everything jumps up just as I click on something, and I get something else. I found you can get rid of it by opening Adblocker, choosing the "Block Element" setting and then clicking on the pesky strip. I hope it's permanent.
