Just an idea...
The Government buys and runs all of the ABC centres as non profit organisations.
Bring fees down to non profit prices.
ie....currently say $60 day......bring it down to $20-$30
gets more parents into the workforce
Any profits are spent on the centres themselves
perhaps using the current ABC staff and adding where required.
So in essence.... very low coast childcare for children 0-4 years old.
Understand this is a large cost for the Government but low cost chilcare for families is paramount.
Just a thought.
get childcare centres off the ASX for starters.
