IMHO although the Libs were on the nose and were obviously not respecting the people who put them in the job ----everyone was scared stiff of the Labor story and Bill is not a very charismatic person so with all the intended extra taxes etc it was a case of the devil you know is better than the devil you don't
It is also obvious that the polls were so wrong, also the bookies made the same mistakes
