China is onto graphite/graphene while the rest of the world is asleep. China controls 73% of it at present and controls the export of it with high tariffs and taxes..

In getting some material for this I also looked at a bit of material from the Outsiders Club which has some sourced information from various publications and specialists on the 'Graphite Revolution' and if key in their name you can join for free and get their full report which is well worth a read as usual.

It is recognised Graphene is 200 times stronger than steel, thinner than a sheet of paper, and more conductive than copper. It's not only the thinnest but it's the strongest. The New York Times says, a sheet of it stretched over a coffee cup could support the weight of a truck bearing down on a pencil point."

We're told that Bloomberg reports it is: "Lighter than a feather, stronger than steel, a superior electrical conductor to copper: According to its champions, graphene could unlock a new era of super energy-efficient gadgets, cheap quick-charge batteries, wafer-thin flexible touchscreen computing, and a sturdier light-weight automobile chassis."
Graphene has the potential to completely revolutionise entire industries, creating bendable phones and touch screens... tiny self-powered oil and gas sensors... even synthetic blood that can be used in any person on the planet.
Graphene has a high strength-to-weight ratio, it's the perfect material for use in automobiles, rockets, boats, turbine blades, very light airplanes, and so on. MIT Engineering Professor Jeffrey Grossman believes solar cells made from graphene could produce 10,000 times more energy from a given amount of carbon than fossil fuels.
According to the Daily Mail: "A graphene credit card could store as much information as today's computers," and that "will lead to gadgets that make the iPhone and Kindle seem like toys from the age of steam trains."
The BBC says: "It could spell the end for silicon and change the future of computers and other devices forever."
Now, the Israeli Army is even using the material to make invisible missiles.
    Graphene makes:
    • Solar — 50x-100x more efficient
    • Semiconductors — 50x-100x faster
    • Aircraft — 70% lighter
And on and on it goes
The BBC reports: "A surge in research into the novel material graphene reveals an intensifying global contest to lead a potential industrial revolution."

Already, Future Markets Inc. reports a 4,000% increase in demand for graphene-based materials...
Which could send graphite prices higher as demand for this mineral starts outpacing supply as is forecast.
The lower cost way to make graphene is by using natually occurring graphite. This market is developing now and will be much larger than the synthetic graphene market because it can be used in high-volume consumer electronics.

Yet only a few companies around the world have access to mineral or a naturally occurring graphite, which is the resource required to make graphene...It looks like Mustang which is flying beneath the radar and fairly unknown in this area has the potential to become one of them.
After our initial high results very high results March 6, 2017we were told that The Caula core was on its way to SGS, a leading Perth laboratory, which would assess its metallurgical characteristics. These results, combined with the assays from the holes referred to above, will be used to calculate a maiden JORC Resource estimate. Mustang expects to publish this estimate in the second quarter to be then followed after by a scoping study.

Mustang also intends to undertake a comprehensive analysis of flake size distribution and preliminary flow sheets for high-quality graphite concentrate products. This is aimed at confirming field observations which suggest the Caula graphite deposit contains large flake-sizes.
Mustang Managing Director Christiaan Jordaan said that the results showed Caula was set to be a Tier 1 graphite project.
"It is already clear that Caula will be one of the highest-grade graphite deposits in the world,"
"This high grade will enable us to generate a top-quality product at a relatively low cost, maximising margins and providing protection against any price volatility."

Spectacular grades of up to 26% Total Graphitic Carbon (TGC) then well demonstrated potential for Caula to become a low-cost supplier to the lithium battery industry .and anything else that we know about spectacular high-grade graphite discovery at its 80% owned Caula Project (License 6678L) along the geological strike of the Syrah Resources .

The problem with Caula is that it became a large elephant in the room which everyone chased away because it was potentially very big but was almost an embarrassment to the Ruby followers as intelligent investors of these small glowing gems of possible enormous future wealth. They almost pretend the elephant is not there.

Unfortunately for them the elephant can't be ignored now and all will have to deal with the JORC resource estimate when it comes out very shortly, possibly next week, good, bad or excellent. If it did happen to be very good(and it could well be), a trading halt may occur. With our first graphite results the SP went up 19% in a day. It would be nice if this is the kick our sleeping SP needs if all goes well.

    DYOR of course.
