    What a joke. Really a joke. How people can come up with such ideas or having them posted here without being challenged?

    The vast majority of central banks are government owned institutions with the governors and the majority of their respective board members being appointed and remunerated in the same way as some top public servants.

    The ones that are privately owned, like the FEDs, have government appointed governors and board members and are subjected to government policies, tasks and controls with a limited imposed upon the profits that they can distributed to their shareholders with the rest being directed to their governments' coffers.

    This forum no longer is about economics but about conspiracy theories
