Treat your kid with respect, trust, honesty, decency, care and love.
Treat him how you would like to be treated yourself.
Lead by example not by an iron fist, your kid won't rebel as he has then nothing to rebel against.
Learn to change as he grows to suit the style of leadership needed for his age.
He will grow into a well balanced adult.
