manipulation is just a fact of life in the share market .. if there's money to be made both ways then the capital will follow
think about it another way as well.. if you want to build a big position those shares have to be supplied from somewhere
if you can create doubt about a shares appreciation it's amazing how much supply can be stimulated and mopped up
