Too bad the floating of the dollar didn't change the behaviour of bloated public servants, who don't have to fear being exposed to foreign trade or imports.
Who don't have to worry about whether they will get paid next week (although with Labor running up massive debt they should be worrying now!).
Who bludge, take sickies, rort worker' comp rules and take "stress leave" simply when expected to do the work they are paid for.
