Ok here it goes....Belen and Karen ;)
At the fundamental level, with the exception of gold stocks and certain smaller sectors such as uranium (which is suffering a mania fallout), mining stocks are not demonstrably expensive, even at current levels. There are other bullish factors; the Bank Credit Analyst argues that "with no catalyst for a bearish reversal to the current level of resource prices, major mining and energy companies will remain profitable even as wage and equipment costs rise".
Analysts at BCA Research remain bullish towards commodity-sensitive stocks, both in absolute terms and vis-à-vis commodities themselves, adding that "despite lagging their underlying commodity prices, energy and mining stocks are hitting new highs even as other risky assets like emerging market stocks and US junk bonds remain turbulent in the wake of credit market stress".
BHP - Major Mining and Energy company...a GEM ! ;)
