Rocky Marciano was a clever fighter, more so for selecting his fighters. He never liked fighting 6+ foot fighters simply for the fact that he could not reach them to hammer out his brawl. Oh! he once fought ageing 6ft+ Joe Louise who had one foot in his hole already. Rocky was also clever to retire before bumping on to a serious boxer.
Cannot compare Rocky with 1960+ era hard technical boxers or no nonsense sledge hammer like Mike..
