surely it is plausible if they had to make 11 separate batches of everything that somewhere along the way some mis-labelling happened. Even just one mistaken transposed labelling for one of those 11 batches could cause a significant data distortion.

I keep hearing “manufacturing error” but it sounds more like a pharmacy formulation error... you know, where the pharmacist pours the stuff into bottles and types up labels!

Greenleaf needed to ask the key question: “Vince, do you have spare labelled samples of each condition from each batch, and if yes, are you testing them for contents?”

we forum posters posing this possible explanation for the error aren’t the crazy ones; it is Vince and the Stuart Washer who keep saying “it was most likely a manufacturing error, but we've fixed that now, so don’t worry about it”!
