This is true, it clearly does. And vehicles/placebos are intended to use as a comparison point, when they produce normal placebo style results, not when they produce extreme efficacy results, which in this case were absolutely the only reason that this trial produced the technical fail, by not meeting the primary endpoint and outperforming the vehicle by a wide enough margin.
