Great opportunity to test the possibility of outsourcing all our State prison services to a low cost country like Cambodia so the states could save a mint on keeping murderers and rapists and use the money for the free citizens and underpaid Ambos who have to deal with the criminal element every day. In Victoria alone the Ambos log of claims will cost an extra $1 Billion which could be found very easily by sending our worst prisoners to Cambodia on long term cheap as contracts using cheap and nastier prison officers, instead of our highly paid meek and mild mannered Human Rights people we must have now costing taxpayers and kings fortune. Good on the Feds and Morrison for thinking outside the square but now we need the State LNP to do the same instead of giving us more of the same as ALP socialism.
The Vic LNP could be selling its 47 towers full of public tenants on Lease-Back and build 40,000 more ground level public houses in country and regional areas creating jobs for trades and useful infrastructure for homeless people who don't need to be next to high cost public transport because they don't need cheap transport to work when they don't work. Why do 820,000 people on DSP income need to be housed in CBD areas is beyond me Yet LNP Housing Minister Wendy Lovell continues with silly ALP policies.
Even the Greens who you would think might be interested in moving people from the concrete jungle to greener pastures don't really wish to move their poor voters away from the CBD because it would affect their voter base and amazingly the Greenie LNP supporters are equally inclined to leave these poor hopeless public housing pensioners where they don't need to be.....in the concrete jungles in MELB CBD.....funny eh. Why not move students into those towers so they would be near the universities and jobs in CBD. Public tenants living close to work they not going to ever get seems a silly policy imo. Both LNP & ALP continue with these silly policies for fear ....which fear....
Why not the Victoria govt build some cheap public housing in Tasmania or South Australia even holiday housing and give public tenants an opportunity to have a tree change and entice some of our so called needy homeless to those cheaper areas instead of keeping them in the most expensive $Billion suburbs like Toorak, South Yarra, Richmond etc ? Why cant we offer freebies to move like Free Foxtel, Free TV , Fridges, Washing machines? If the LNP in Victoria want to be socialists like the ALP why not do it better by using their brains for a change. Yes the LNP are no different to the ALP ...they still tax the haves to give to the have nots, they still continue the same Planning policies to cram as many people into near CBD suburbs as possible, but people who might like a new housing block in Coldstream cant ....except if they can afford to buy a $2 Million 10 Acres Green Wedge Zone Farm where you even need a permit to have more than 8 sheep..lol the most expensive grass in Victoria is grown on GWZ land.
Where is the free enterprise and red and green and blue tape removal under the LNP in Victoria? They just a little better than ALP although the roads plan we must all agree is a good policy....but guess who will be paying for that? More land taxes, more Land levies, more rates levies, more taxes on property owners who need permits to rent to more than 3 unrelated people....under the Victoria LNP ? believe me its true...you could have a 10 bedroom house in Victoria but you'll need a permit to house more than 3 people in that house or commercial property and the State LNP sanctioned Council fines are up to $43,000 if you dare too. LNP creating a housing shortage when there are enough houses to put every homeless person in a room and even the DHS wont release those rooms WHY?
