Agree with Justis. The cabling needs tidying up.
Do away with the turnbuckles, instead set the top two cables into the wood attached and inset from the outsides (get thinner strong ss cables if you can) and then tighten up the eye bolt at the base to take up the slack (might need a longer eye bolt)
Will you be attaching a motor to this contraption? It would be tres funky to fire it up and see that propellor spin. Hmm, might need to rethink the cables completely in that case?

All fittings need to be ss. You never know, maybe you take it out on the boat one day?
